They said that the problem was due to the installation of the aftermarket dvd player.. Don't trust the INPA battery and ignition indicator. Just try to read the error or get the UIF from INPA to see if it is working. You would have all sort of issues when you don't have the right cable. So, it turns out I had a bad cable.
