Who Is Sadhvi Rithambara?

Born as Nisha in 1964 in the village of Mandi Doraha, Punjab, Sadhvi Ritambhara's spiritual journey began after being deeply influenced by Swami Parmanand Giri of Haridwar. She embraced sanyas and dedicated herself to religious and social work, rising to prominence in the 1980s and 90s for her active participation in the Ram Janmabhoomi movement. Her speeches on Hindutva earned her a prominent place within the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Throughout her career, Sadhvi Ritambhara has been vocal about Hindu cultural pride. She also founded the Param Shaktipeeth in 1992, an organization committed to social welfare and spiritual upliftment. Sadhvi Ritambhara is also the founder of Vatsalya Gram Sanstha in Vrindavan, an NGO dedicated to the care and education of poor children, young girls, and elderly women. Through her institution, hundreds of children receive free education, and women are provided with housing, food, and a safe environment. Her efforts were recognized internationally, earning accolades from the Mayor of Houston, County of Los Angeles, and the Consulate General of India in the USA. Vatsalya Gram has even earned a place in the Golden Book of World Records for its transformative social work.

Her leadership extends beyond Indiatmt play, as she continues to be a revered figure globally. Currently, Sadhvi Ritambhara is actively involved in the Maha Kumbh with her disciples, further solidifying her role as a spiritual and social leader. She was recently congratulated by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for her Padma Bhushan award on Republic Day.
